Altercation Punk Comedy hits the pavement once again!

The Altercation Punk Comedy Tour is at it again, this time with an October 2009 national tour entitled Season of the Witch consisting of Ruby Collins, Chris Cubas, Jake Flores, Joe Staats, and headed by Mr. Altercation himself, JT Habersaat.

Since its inception in April 2008, the Altercation Punk Comedy Tour continues to skip the traditional comedy clubs and instead focus, almost exclusively, on music venues, burlesque halls and indie cafes, playing with the likes of punk bands which include Bad Brains, The Revival Tour, Bouncing Souls, and Dead Milkmen.

This year, the tour kicks off with the Second Annual Altercation Punk Comedy Festival on Friday, August 7th, at Red 7 (611 E. 7th Street, Austin, TX 78701), featuring the Altercation touring comics along with Jesse Alison, Nick Aluotto, Matt Bearden, Avi Hartman, Eric Hurst, Albert Im, John Rabon, and Duncan Wilder. Show starts at 10 pm and tickets are $10.

From there, the tour officially kicks off in San Antonio. Tour dates below:

Earlier this year I had the privilege of going to Eygpt with Open Doors,baseball gloves an organisation founded to support the millions of Christians worldwide who are persecuted for their faith.One of the things that impacted me most during my visit to Egypt was the plight of women. Our guide and interpreter explained how women in Eygpt are viewed by society as second class citizens; baseball equipment
they are treated as no more than the property of men. In law, a man can have up to three wives, any of whom can be divorced by just a word and without the need for legal proceedings. A woman, baseball games
on the other hand, would find it very hard to divorce her husband. Women in Egypt live in an oppressive society and the aim of some churches in Egypt is to reach out to women and to support those who have been maltreated by their husbands.
